Today, together with Francesco Vincenti and Carlo Laurenti Argento, we took first place at the Agentic Hack Rome, hosted by Urbe Hub.
The Problem
If you've ever tried to open a restaurant in Italy, you know the pain. Permits from the municipality, health inspections from the ASL, fire safety certifications, SCIA filings, business plans. The process is fragmented, confusing, and mostly analog.
The Solution
We built Permesso Digitale, an AI-powered application designed to guide users through Rome's restaurant establishment procedures. The conversational AI agent provides step-by-step assistance covering permits needed, filing locations, required documentation, and expected timelines. It incorporates an integrated business plan editor to help operators organize finances before launch.
The Stack
Development utilized Lovable, enabling rapid full-stack development throughout the hackathon. Supabase manages authentication and data persistence, while the AI agent draws from a comprehensive regulatory knowledge base specific to Rome's requirements.
What's Next
Future plans include expanding feature sets, extending support to additional Italian municipalities, and continuously refining the agent's regulatory database.
